The True Meaning of BSing

Sean K = me, Sean Kneese. I originally started this podcast as simply a space for traditional interviews with artists and other creative types. As I started bringing on increasing numbers of diverse guests, the show organically developed its own theme: I converse with people who think and live outside the box and are pursuing their creative and intellectual passions. They are non-conformists: people who go against the grain and follow their own path. I also like to provide a platform for opinions that aren't often heard in the mainstream media, and prefer to keep a conversational feel to my interviews. I enjoy talking to all different kinds of people from all walks of life and I hope that my podcast can show that we all have more in common than we think, even if it might not always seem that way on the surface.

Episode 138: Ursula Monteiro: Brazilian Actress and Independent Filmmaker

In this episode of BS’ing with Sean K, Sean Kneese talks to Ursula Monteiro: Brazilian-born actor, director, screenwriter, and photographer. She began her acting career at eight years old in her hometown of Taubate, Sao Paulo. At the age of eighteen, Ursula moved to New York City to pursue her dream of working in theater and film; in 2016 she graduated from Marymount Manhattan College where she earned a B.A. in Theatre, with a concentration in Performing Arts and Directing. Ursula also holds a degree in Acting from the Atlantic Acting School. After years of perfecting her acting craft, in 2018 Ursula started to write and direct her own film projects. In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Ursula produced her short film debut VAL, and a sketch comedy web series called Never Mind. In this podcast, Ursula talks about her film Val and how it addresses political and social issues in Brazil such as abortion rights and government corruption, her love for independent films, the inspiration behind her sketchy comedy series, and more. Eric talks about how AA led him to develop his spriitual beliefs and eventually his interest in hermeticism. Episode 136: Channeling Ruminations, Anxiety, OCD and being on the spectrum into creativity and productiveness with podcaster and musician Gabrielle Angel Lily

In this episode of BS'ing with Sean K, Sean Kneese talks to musician and host of Angel's Authentic Action podcast Gabrielle Angel Lilly. Gabrielle talks about being on the autism spectrum and how it has influenced her creativity. She also talks about how a "disorder" isn't necessarily a disorder and can be used as a gift, and society's tendency to punish people with mental health issues. Sean talks about being diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at 13 and also his experience with OCD and learning to use ruminations in a productive way. He also mentions how writers such as Neville Goddard and James Allen have helped him use ruminating to help make positive changes in his life.
